Coming Soon! ATA Handbook #168 – Topical Adventures
Topical Adventures – A Guide to Topical and Thematic Stamp Collecting, will be the go-to reference for topical and thematic collectors and exhibitors for years to come. The book will go on sale in early August, and may be pre-ordered on the ATA website at www.americantopicalassn.org.
Written by ATA members with expertise in many areas, the book will be a useful reference on the full spectrum of topical collecting, from selecting your topic, acquiring stamps and other items, storing and displaying your collection and much more. The chapter on exhibiting has extensive information on thematic, display and topical exhibiting and is richly illustrated with exhibit pages by accomplished exhibitors. Throughout the book there are vignettes—short articles on specific topics, such as choosing paper; errors, freaks and oddities; postal stationery; cinderellas and many others. There are interviews with accomplished exhibitors and personal reflections from topical collectors: How they chose their topics and what they enjoy about topicals. Contributors to these vignettes collect everything from botanical stamps to African American heritage to wine, and pandas.

This new handbook belongs in the library of every collector and exhibitor. You'll keep it handy for ready reference and to enjoy the feature articles at your leisure.
