Ok community, I have a question regarding the difference between the C64b booklet listings. I have the slogan 3 variety, so I need the definition between BKC14 BC13B RED and BKC15 BC13B RED,Pink. As always all input is appreciated.

Since I don't collect booklets, I can only make an educated guess. The red & pink refer to the booklet cover. So I would assume that BKC15 has the BC13B cover as shown in the catalogue. The center section of the cover has red lettering on a pink background. I would then expect BKC14 to have the same booklet cover only with a white background where the red lettering appears. Hopefully, someone who knows for certain will chime in. Added: To clarify, the color (red) not in italics refers to the color of the lettering on the booklet cover. The color (pink) in italics refers to the "background" color on which the lettering appears. |

blcjr and eyeonwall thank you for input. Also eyeonwall I agree with your break down on booklet examples. I had found this site some time ago but forgot the address. |

The Scott catalogue shows 5 different booklets with the BC13B cover. BKC13, 15 & 18 are described as "red, pink" while BKC14 & 19 are described as "red". I checked the PF cert database and they had 6 certs for booklets with BC13B covers. There appeared to be some confusion on the part of those submitting certs since, according to the PF, 2 of the 6 submissions were misidentified (a BKC14 that was in reality a BKC19 and a BKC15 that was also a BKC19). There were 1 BKC15, 2 BKC18, 3 BKC19. The BKC15 & BKC18 covers appeared identical, although there was a slight difference in the intensity of the background color on the two BKC18s. The center portion where "AIR MAIL" appears is different between the two groups (15/18 vs. 19). On the 15/18 group, it seems to me to be a fairly dark "red" rather than the "pink" specified by Scott, although as I mentioned above, on one of the BKC18s it is a slightly lighter shade of red. On the 19s this area appears "pink" to me even though Scott does not list a background color. I did not see any booklets with covers the shade of Bardo's BKC14. His BKC15 looked the same as the BKC19s in the PF certs. The PSE cert database had 3 BKC19, all identical to the PF 19s.

Yes JLLebbert, I over looked BKC18/19 when I submitted the post,I was referencing notes tucked into the glassine holding the booklets. Now referring to my Specialized catalogue I see the additional listing. Thanks |
