A Few Interesting Civil War Covers.

The slogan under the Eagle "The union, constituion and the enforcement of the laws" was the complete Platform of the Constitutional Union party in the four way 1860 US presidential election



This letter from an auditor at Treasury is addressed to Congressman (later, Senator) Justin Smith Morrill of Vermont. Morrill was the author of the land grant college bill, so he is kind of a big deal.
