revcollector is correct--Scott #9 (A relief, recut once top and once bottom) paying one-cent drop letter rate on an embossed ladies' cover (most likely).
Try looking at Plate 1 late. The stamp from a quick glance is unspectacular in that I don't see many plating marks. Start thumbing through the A reliefs and match the recut lines on top and bottom.
