I was wondering if someone could tell me what made parts of the red eagle turn orange. What chemical exactly. You'll notice the blue ink and the black cancel are unchanged.
Long-term light exposure tends to give even fading. This stamp does not exhibit that, but rather it shows a splotchy discoloration of chemical splashes. Without trial and error, it is quite difficult to determine what chemical caused the bleaching.
