Pol. Korp. Overprint On A Russian Stamp

The stamp is Russian, Czarist, and the inscription is Latin Alphabet rather than Cyrillic. The denomination, I assume, is 35 kopecks and the Arms looks like the Polish Eagle.

I am guessing that the inscription refers to a Polish military unit but that is just a guess.

Can anyone give some background to the overprint?
