My experience with Dr. Bob is that he is fair and easy to work with. If you are serious about pulling the trigger, call him, explain your concerns about the cert and see if you can make arrangements for a cert you feel more comfortable with.

He deals in such volume that I seriously doubt he checked the cert.

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
