The Dragon of Annam, specifically, is a symbol of the nation's strength, endurance, and deep connection to its mythological past. The most prominent legend associated with the Dragon of Annam involves the story of Lac Long Quan, a dragon lord, and Au Co, a fairy princess. According to the myth, L#7841;c Long Quan, a dragon king from the sea, married Au Co, a mountain fairy. Together, they had 100 eggs, from which 100 sons hatched. This union is often regarded as the origin of the Vietnamese people, with the children symbolizing the different ethnic groups of Vietnam. Hindu Mythology - Krishna and Radha Quote: According to Hindu tradition, the infant Krishna was secretly carried across the Yamuna River under the cover of night to escape the wrath of the tyrannical King Kamsa—his maternal uncle—who, fearing a prophecy that Krishna would be his slayer, sought to kill him at birth. Rescued by his father Vasudeva, the child was entrusted to the care of Nanda, the chief of the cowherds in the pastoral region of Gokula, and his wife Yashoda, who lovingly raised him as their own.
As Krishna grew, he became famed for his divine charm, playful mischief, and especially for his enchanting music. The melodies of his flute, played beneath the moonlight, were said to be so irresistible that the gopis—the wives and daughters of the cowherd community—would abandon their chores and even defy social conventions, drawn into the forest to join him in ecstatic, transcendental dances known as the ras lila. These moments symbolized the soul's longing for union with the divine and remain central to devotional traditions such as Bhakti. On top of page 2, I posted several stamps about Krishna and Radha. Lately, Israel and India jointly issued on February 11, 2025 similar design SS's about the Jewish Purim festival and the Hindu Holi festival. The lower stamp representing India, shows Krishna and Radha. |
