I recently bid on and won several collections of German Post Offices Abroad and German Colonies from a major auction house. A small fraction of the items were described as expertized. I intended to add or upgrade what I needed to my collection and sell the rest.
I was pleasantly surprised last night when I finally got around to looking thru the albums to find that nearly 80% of the items contained in the albums were expertized. All of the expertizing marks were from recognized experts thru BPP. Plus there were several expertized duplicates to boot. Someone at the auction house wasn't doing their due diligence and I was the lucky recipient. Makes me wish I had bid higher on the 2 albums that got away.
Not boasting or gloating just passing on a little brightness in an otherwise gloomy time.
