"Scarce GB 1d red SG 22" can anyone help me to identify it and find its worth please?

SG22 1854-1857
Type 1
1d red brown die 1 90GBP
SG22wi watermark inverted 300GBP

Book price, no relation to your stamp suggest x by .25 or .5 perhaps?

Die1= Features of Her Maj, are lightly shaded, consequently lack emphasis.

The stamp is poorly centred with a rounded corner.

The recent sales on ebay show they're averaging less than £10 apiece, and that's for reasonably sound examples.

Hope this info helps!

Hello.

I wonder if he marked it as such BECAUSE of the odd centring, but I don't think that that is extravagant enough to interest those who collect stamps with misaligned perforations, and the check letters are hard to read, partly because of the damage at the bottom right. That also makes it hard to determine which printing plate it comes from.

Keep asking questions!
