I was wondering if anyone has acquired these stamps and if so could they provide some scans. Non-philatelic postal used on cover would be extremely interesting to see if possible.

All right, I'll ask. I even found some www sites that claimed to define what crypto stamps are, but I got nothing from those sites. I think they were marketing.

What are crypto stamps? How are they different from 'regular' stamps? Are they used on mail?

Thank you, Vayolene. I read the material in the links. The other thread on SCF was enlightening. The thread is about a year old, and the author took a lot of shots from 'traditional' philatelists. I am in my 50's and, although I have embraced modern technology, this one escapes me. I suppose I just don't understand all that makes Crypto Stamps special. Probably more from a 'necessity' point of view (Are they necessary?). Having said that, I suspect in 10 years, I will see the light. Hopefully, I am not moving towards it with my dead grandmother beckoning me closer. No, seriously, I hope that I 'get it' in the not-too-distant future.

We all have our own interests in philately. I don't like to belittle anyone else's interest. These crypto stamps are certainly another field. For those that pursue the field: More power to you!

We have some people who join the community with strictly commercial intent or other self promotion (this happens fairly often). Making the call if this is the case or not is not easy nor is one of the tasks that I enjoy. But I was NOT 'taking shots' at a new member and do not appreciate the comment.

I have always defended people collecting what and how they desire.

There seem to be some similarities, perhaps illusory, with the stamps of the New Hebrides Condominium which were denominated in Gold Francs. The GF was a 'non-existent' international currency used for the settlement of international accounts which was in particular used between postal and telecoms administrations around the world. The GF was essentially replaced by SDRs (Special Drawing Rights) in the 1980s and 90s.
