While going through an envelope of stamps I picked up sometime in the last 20 years or so, I came across the following. I've never run into anything like it, and have no idea what it is or who issued it.
It's Soviet Occupation Zone East Saxony. Michel catalog 62. Part of a set of approximately 24 stamps with similar design. There are quite a few varieties for the specialist. They were issued after WWII and were valid for postage until March 1946. I'm fairly certain they are listed in Scott.
Thank you very much! I would not have thought to check in that section of the catalog. In Scott they're listed under DDR in the Russian Occupation section, Scott 15N6.
