Is there an easy way to tell the difference between Finland Scott #414a and #414b. The Scott Catalogue pictures are not very clear.

Tim, I believe the stamp you are showing is the later, three-color printing. The land masses were printed with three colors (blue, yellow and green) on these stamps, and they appear darker.

On the original printings, the land masses were printed with two colors...blue and green, and they appear lighter.

Computers, monitors and websites often show image colors slightly different than they really are.

I think I have found how easily tell the difference between these two stamps:
414a: The lake in the top island is shaded in blue
414b: The lake in the top island is shaded in green
