Not sure that I spy a giraffe anywhere - am I missing something?

I see the chicken on the left, giraffe on the right... unless my imagination has run wild...[easily possible]

I was thinking I was seeing the three lions in the top left quadrant...now I'm not sure. Less sure about that giraffe, too.

This 20c War Effort stamp has proven very interesting on the scanner. There is a lighthouse on the left which I had never seen before. I will have to research, but I am sure this scene is in Halifax. I collect Canadian lighthouses.

Also, the flag at the bottom near the bow appears to be American!

It is quite obvious that the worker on the bow is shouting "I am king of the world!".

BeeSee can you teach me how to place those red arrows please?
I asked on this forum before, and they removed my post.I was never told why.
Thanks.

I agree those are lions, and directly to the right is a sea turtle.

Rod, I use either Paintshop Pro or Photoshop to add the arrows, then I upload the photo. Do you have either of those programs, then I can explain how.

Cheers BeeSee,
alas, I only have paint. However, please post an explanation on either, and I can pick up the software to suit.
I have wanted to do this for yonks.
Thanks very much, it looks great by the way, the arrows are perfect.

I think the top left quadrant is three keys?

Top right must be a fleur-de-lis (there's gotta be one in there somewhere :-)

Rod has solved the mystery. No chicken and no giraffe. Sure did look like a chicken on BeeSee's first post, though.

I figured it was the Canadian coat-of-arms, but I am still including the stamp in my chicken collection :P

A bid of research indicates that the Corvette boats were built in St. John, NB which means the lighthouse could be Partridge Island lighthouse, but more research is required.

Not that I know of, but light versions are often included with scanners and cameras.

Rod, the only way to create arrows in MS Paint is to draw them yourself, which is not always that easy.

I have Photoshop CS2 at work, but the much cheaper but excellent Paintshop Pro by Corel at home. This program has a toolbar (as does Photoshop) where you click on it and choose many pre-designed shapes such as arrows (many types) stars, circles, etc. and then paste right into your image. From there you can rotate, stretch or shrink with your mouse. You can also scan right into the program.

Corel PSP link:

A lighter cheaper version is linked below, but I have never used it:
