I have attached scans of a pair of 330 5cent Jamestown Exhibition Stamps. The left hand stamp appears to be a double transfer to me. See closeup of left side shield. Is this the double transfer that the Scott catalog refers to? Right stamp does not show this. My Scott catalog is older. What does the new catalog show as a value for this transfer if my stamp is a double transfer.
The major double transfer of this stamp is the left side of the right shield, with another in the ribbons; plus several small shifts in the ribbons and numerals.
Since I also see doubling in the ribbons of Founding and OF ( See attached scan) It also seems to match the reentry pictures of this stamp at the re-entries website referenced by rogdcam. So would that not eliminate just a bit of over inking as a cause?
