Need Some Help With Stamp ID

Hello all!

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

I recently inherited a stamp collection from my grandfather, and his father before him. It contains 1000's of old Canadian, Newfoundland, USA and world stamps.
I've started going through the Canadian ones and one has me stumped, it appears to be a 1932 King George "medallion", but it says 1935 and is different than any other stamp I can see in my books.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah... definitely a cut square from a George V postal card. The circle around the "1" and the 19...35 is the give-away.

New Webb's 154-162 or wrapper 38-39 (old Webb's P62-64, W19 / old Unitrade UX 62-64) depends on the paper.

Incidentally, Webb's does not price these, preferring the full letter or card.

Looks like the my mystery has been solved! thanks for the help guys! I have about a bazillion more stamps to get through so I'm sure I'll have some more questions in the future. Cheers!

You mentioned Newfoundland - a very hot market, because the supply is limited (stopped making stamps after the war).

Got any of those older ones to share? Or any covers (ie stamps on envelope--those are your most valuable ones to prioritize, IMHO)
