Canada Fruit Tree 48c Booklet - 2 Different

I've just purchased some fruit tree booklets and I have 2 x 48c booklets...1363B in cover ie BK142.
The only difference I can see between the two is that one pane has got a margin on the end with traffic lights and Ashton Potter, etc printed on the margin, but the other one ha only got a margin that is half the size with no printing on it.
Is this a genuine difference, it does not look has if it has been cut.
Only all the other fruit tree booklets I have, have got the traffic lights, etc on.

The McCann Standard Catalogue of Canadian Booklet Stamps identifies 2 types for BK142. Type 1 has a 6mm blank selvedge and Type 2 has the Ashton-Potter and 5 colour dot imprint.

Unitrade also identifies these as BK142a (no TI) and BK142b and c (with TI).

The one with the margin inscriptions is the "philatelic" version and came with the covers open (i.e. not glued) and was only available from the philatelic bureau and selected philatelic outlets.

The one without the inscriptions is the "field stock" version that was available at any post office and usually had the front cover glued to the back cover. At first the margin inscriptions were retained in those but after a time it became almost standard practice to trim them so that the panes would be short enough to avoid the part where the covers were glued together.

The philatelic booklets started in 1991 with the May 22, 1991, Public Gardens issue. They was created by Canada Post for the convenience of collectors to eliminate tearing the (usually) glued booklets apart to see the stamps inside. The practice went on till the middle of 2004 at which time it was discontinued as was the practice of gluing the covers together.
