Thanks for the heads-up, Richard; you have assembled a great collection. I'm going to check out the auction, and I may be bidding!

I bid on the Sperati forgeries that sold in Siegel's auction of the 1847 Gross collection, but I came up short by a considerable amount. It was a lot of three, and hammered at $1800. The featured stamp has a beautiful cancel, which I presume is also fake.

I hope your collection sells as well as these three did.

Floortrader - That is what I do .... I buy interesting material, build on the nucleus, hopefully add value by research and mounting and then sell. In this case it was worth preservation as a website. I don't have any reason to have to own it anymore ...

By selling the material, I can afford to move on to a "new" area to learn about and research. I feel fortunate that I have been able to enjoy philately in that manner most of my life.
