Wow ---That is about $11,000 for that collection , I can,t see that collection with a $60,000 to $75,000 catalog value . How much of it is in very fine condition is anyone's guess .

I wouldn't call it junk ,until a experience philatelist viewed it and wrote about it . Nobody viewed it who is on here , but just from the pictures it hardly reaches the level of $40,000 or $60,000 catalog value.

Sorry there is too much we don't know about it to judge it .

With the buyer's premium and VAT, the price is more like £11,000, not $11,000 -- and its currently about $1.30 to the pound, so more like $14,000+.

As to catalogue value, that might be a useful way to look at collections of lower value items, but when you're looking at big ticket items of early GB, such as the £5 orange, £1 brown, EVII mint set to £1, PUC £1 mint, etc., valuing them at 20% of Cat. will give you a serious underestimate of their retail value.

I can easily see £10,000 retail value for this collection, and it seems 2 other people did.
