Man, if not for the pinholes, this would have been a candidate for PSE or PF grading (as much as I dislike the practice). It is by far the largest and most well-balanced jumbo I have ever seen of the 70-cent Foreign Exchange.

Nice stamp, but it would only grade 85J at best anyway. It's to the left and to the top. |

Part of my job is to pull gradable stamps out of large lots and collections; this one would stay in. |

I don't think it would have any trouble getting a 90J in sound condition. If it stayed in a remainder collection, it would have to be an impressive one. JMO FWIW. |

Dan,
Go ahead and send me that faulty off-centered copy.
I don't mind collecting damaged stamps like this!

I don't see that the stamp is centered NW. Seems just about EF centered to me. |

Try looking at the stamp from different angles, turn it on it's side, then invert it. This can easily be done by copying the stamp to one's PC. Doing so will show the variations in margins. It's a very nice stamp, but it is off on two sides. Not very off, but off enough. |

I use and recommend 'Screen Calipers' http://www.iconico.com/caliper/(free version available). The right hand margin is approximately 10% larger then the left hand margin. Obviously this stamp should be rejected, but I would be happy to take it! Don |

Now that you have all had fun misinterpreting what I wrote, since apparently none of you read where I clearly stated that it is a nice stamp, perhaps you will agree that 19 does not equal 21; I said it was centered to the left and it has been proven so. Nowhere did I say anything about "rejecting" it. |
