Just a note about the album bulge ,don't put a rubber band around the binder that will quicken the damage to the binder, it will stress the seams of the binder .

When I returned to stamp collecting and discovered the world of mounts, for some time I had no idea that they were designed to be adhesive, so I've always used glue-sticks. A touch will hold the mount, whilst not making it impossible to remove, thus safeguarding the page. If you're using clear mounts, your touch of glue will be visible from the front if not covered by a stamp.

It should be noted that modern adhesives, cardboard, and wood are not considered archival materials nor are they recommended for use by any conservation organization. If used, you should periodically monitor and make sure that outgassing and/or other acid-forming conditions are not setting up and damaging your stamps.

Indeed, she sounds like a wise woman who understands that physical contact is not required to cause problems, just being in the general vicinity can be troublesome.
