I have used Word, LibreOffice, Powerpoint & Visio at various points, but found each a little cumbersome for the purpose - either modifying Steiner pages or creating new - now have moved to using AlbumEasy exclusively. Works very well for my purposes. |

I use Scribus for my Mystic page clones and LibreOffice Draw for editing PDFs. Scribus has some excellent features for aligning objects but think the program overall is clunky. |

I don't create pages at all although I easily could with Revit. Do you just buy special acid-free paper to run through your printer? |

Quote: ...Do you just buy special acid-free paper to run through your printer? There is nothing special about cheap 'acid free' paper, it often is just marketing hype. Quality paper is costly, typically 2-5 times more than the cheap 'acid free' paper you can buy at a office supply store. From what I was told, you want to get paper that is acid and lingen free AND is buffered. I was also highly believe in 100% cotton paper. But cotton paper is NOT inkjet friendly, unless you're using an inkjet printer that has pigmented ink. |

I use Corel Ventura 10 for all my exhibit pages and all of my books. I print pages on International Paper Accent Opaque Digital, 65lb cover smooth (#188560) Paper works with either HP laserjet or inkjet printers (I use inkjet for exhibit pages) I mount stamps and covers in Kangura "L" sealed transparent mounts ny Bolaffi, Italy (perforated stamps, black or old stack gray backing mounts) I put pages into Atlantic Protective pouch pages with added hole-punched selvage at left to fit lighthouse deluxe binders.
I think all this can contribute to a very professional and attractive presentation |

Found this interesting article on HPs website about acid-free and archival paper. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00740449HP is saying that "acid-free" is not the whole story. They strongly believe in lingen free paper, but make the case that coated paper is in a different league, since there is a coating on the surface of the paper that prevents anything on the surface from contacting the actual paper. Interesting read for "paper geeks." |
