Londonbus1 - I am interested in the sheets if you'll put them back for me. After all the great material you've put me in touch with (Clock Towers, etc., etc. - BTW, the dealer was VERY surprised when I told him I already had that booklet. ) so I trust your judgement completely. Please pick up anything that's not a regular issue or is difficult to find that you think I might like and I'll PayPal you. When you get enough together for a nice shipment you can send them on. If I get a duplicate or two, not to worry Mate, I'll keep it or someone on the SCF will be glad to have it. I've been looking for a sheet of the 552 from the second printing but I guess everyone has found out about them now and they've gone scarce on us. I'm sure the price has gone way up also. |

The Hebrew Press sheet from 1963 ??? The Background text makes every stamp of this sheet different ! Much sought after in it's day, the value has come down somewhat in recent years. Still a nice piece. The Sheet is the work of Otte Wallish, who also designed Israel's first stamps, the Doar Ivri issue. The background to the Hebrew Press is actually a page from the newspaper, 'Halbanon'. |

Commonly known as the Ardon Windows Souvenir sheet, this Imperf edition was distributed to Philatelic service subscribers and overprinted thus on the gummed side. Quite scarce and of a lovely design. Mordechai Ardon was one of Israel's greatest painters. He designed the Stained glass windows for the Jewish National and University Library in Jerusalem. I highly recommend a visit to anyone ever touring Israel. The Stained glass was actually set in Rheims, France. If anyone has ever had the priviledge to visit Rheims Cathedral, then you can understand why the city was chosen to make this special window for Israel. Here it is; |
