Hi,
Saw these junk overprints on an auction sites and I'm familiar with China but have never seen this chop before. Is this a forgery, and if so, does anybody know anything about it?

Thanks!

Interesting. not seen before.
Fuzhou, foochow romanized Foo chou is a major capital in Fujian province.Could be a provisional municipal ovpt.?
Could be local overprint? Local Royalist party? (Qing)..
If they are not bogus they are scarce..!!
Could you provide a link to the auction site ?

Thanks for the insights all. They overprints definitely look too clean to be a local overprint, chop, or anti-bandit chop. Any idea if this is a modern forged overprint or perhaps made by a dealer of yesteryear?

I think the listing is titled "China - CHINY - Foo Hou" but it appears to have gone unsold on ebay. I think it is a completed listing but may be available if you reach out to the seller (2011keram).
