Computer Vended Postage Printing Errors?

I'm sure these are relatively common, but just found this one found in the recycle bin interesting :)

Anyone have any insight into how common these types of varieties are?

They were caused by having a mismatch between the paper stock and the software. The software used was designed to be used on blank stock, not preprinted stock. They are fairly common and only command a modest premium.
