I just discovered these gems and have a question. The stamps seem to come in multiple formats. In the booklet format conatins a mini-sheetlet of one stamp. Is the sheetlet meant to come out of the booklet? I just bought 2020's issue and it almost seems like the damn thing was licked into place and that removal would damage the sheetlet.

Anyone out there collect these and have advice? Thanks.

Unsure if you are referring to Canadian issues but note it is in Canadian forum. They are usually in a souvenir sheet of four, and a booklet of one. And yes the selvedge is stuck down to the booklet cover. Usually they are removed from booklet and attached to license to hunt. I dont collect them personally but have the first 5 issues in the booklet form.

Other than the first couple, I have all dingle stamp booklets issued to date and they are signed by teh artist.

I had never even thought of removing the stamps from the booklet and do not think that would be a good idea for these booklet stamps.

Ok, strange in that I could swear I've seen the sheetlets from booklets offered for sale. I just presumed they were easily detachable. How on earth does one keep a collection of them?

I collect these and store them in Vario pages just like any other booklet.

Can you identify what type of Vario pages you use? Thanks.

I use the Vario 2C so that I can have 2 booklets per page and see the front and back. I add a standard 8.5x11 coloured copy paper in behind so that I can print the catalogue number next to each booklet. See the attached image.

If you wanted to see front, back and inside you would need to use the 1C and unfold the booklet, which limits you to 1 booklet per page.

Hey folks,
I recently became interested in Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamps and thought I'd resurrect this thread rather than starting a new one.

What I am confused about is the intended use of these stamps, besides them being collector items.
I undestand that, in the US, a hunter is supposed to purchase a Federal Duck Stamp and stick it to his bird hunting permit, but in Canada bird hunting permits already come with a Conservation Stamp already attached to them.

Is there any possible actual use for a Conservation Stamp that one bought in a booklet?
