Thank you NSK - I had not researched the offices abroad yet - but soon enough I will delve in. Yes I love that coil strip. I will mount it on my page soon - it really is lovely (to me). |

Hi Rod! It is nothing like the ultra high res you guys use. It is a Printer Scanner combo - Brother MFC-J995DW. Here is my first try at a single stamp scan and it looks really nice to me - next time I will try a more contrasting background. |

Welcome to the land of the scanner You shall never look back. Suggestion, blu tak a black piece of kraft paper to the scanner lid It will highlight the teeth. If it were an Epsom, I could have taken you through scanning single stamps via "carousel" Not aufait with Brother. (have a brother BW printer) Note your Singapore stamp, is the variety where the Palms do not touch the oval frame. |

Great idea with the craft (or as I call it construction paper). By the way Rod - I got another package from Canvey Island - I am just loving the stamps and unique postmarks! |

I really like Paint.net for doing rotations on scans like that, this one was rotated 2°: Looks like I could have done 2.5° instead. :) |

Nice Billsey - I might check that out. I have been playing around trying to figure it all out. A little practice, and I think I will get better and better. |

Labour intensive, you may wish to try the free "stampfix" by our own PostmasterGS It deskews instantly at a click of the mouse. I am over 12,000 deskews, and make a yearly donation as it saves so much time. https://www.germanstamps.net/pmgs-stampfix-demos/ |

Thanks Rod - I need to reach out to Jed and ask him how I circumvent the error (unknown software) on my Mac when I try to download. I think this also happened to me when I tried to download Album Page software as well.
In the meantime, I will try to straighten my stamp scans :) |

Another scan with black back drop and almost straight. She is in bad shape, but I love the design of this QV Uganda Protectorate stamp - I believe it is my only one. Really enjoy finding these little history treasures in these mixes. |

It, probably, has the Crown over 'CA' watermark and looks to be perforated 14: 1883-1897 series. I think Scott catalogues these as VC43 (1885, Red), or VC44 (1886, Rose). Likely the former. |
