I feel if I stare at long enough I think I see a grill. But then again if I stare at anything long enough I would probably see one also

Looks like something disturbed the paper but does not look like a grill

Sometimes these grills are very light, or also it may have been pressed. It would be helpful to get a picture at a glancing angle to the paper, instead of straight-down.

Dip it in lighter fluid and look at it at an angle near a light. The grill shadows should show up.

I thought it might have been pressed. However I acquired it in a stock book that I purchased at a yard sale for under five dollars. I bought it for the book itself not that hundreds of stamps in it. I needed another stock book and it was nice and in expensive. The stamps in it were a bonus. Having some one spend the time to press it then throw it it a stock book I find would be weird. But it could be. I also held it up to the light at various angles, did not see anything. Not sure I want to dip it in lighter fluid, but I might. I ran it through some imaging software that I had changing contrast, darkness, brightness and shadowing. I could not see anything.

Defiantly could be! A used Sc 114 without grill catalogues at $18,000 in my old 2014 Scott Specialized. But if it was pressed it was for practice, the stamp has a worn impression and a perf tear.

I took a snip of the back of your stamp. In my opinion, it looks to have a grill that was pressed out.

I think there is very little doubt that this is a grilled stamp.
