I bought a postcard on ebay from a dealer in Latvia. They sent it Registered mail. Apparently Covid is causing some weird routing. I enclosed a screen shot. The last time I looked the shortest route from Latvia to Wisconsin wasn't thru San Francisco. Oh, well, at least it got to the US.

Probably has to do with how close to one of the International Service Center's located in New York, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco it was.

Normally Latvian Registered mail has gone thru New York. That's an awfully long flight to San Francisco whether east or west from Latvia. Makes me wonder what airline they put the mail on?

Yesterday I received a regesterred "package" stamp from Conneticut. It went to K.C. Before it arrived back on the east coast. The USPS is routing all mail to underwhelmed regional centers regardless as to the shortest route. According to the newspapers.

The Post Office is struggling and in sad shape. The 'shortest' route from Milwaukee to Arkansas is thru the processing center in Pennsylvania before heading to Memphis and onward.

To all those complaining in the USA. Write your Senators. Write your congressional representative.

Well, it took over a week, but the letter made it to Milwaukee. Now if it can find the way out the door of the main post office.....which seems to be a problem in itself.
