1902-05(1911?)Melbourne print
Perf 12 1/2
Wmk 70 v and crown inverted

Ok so I don't have a SG just a old Scott's (ya I know no good for Australia states)
I'm curious I've read a bunch of posts on the topic of Western Australia watermarks
I haven't seen much about the v and crown mentioned too frequently in them
I was just wondering if anyone could add any information?

Silly question but it's a single v and crown per stamp?

I believe so.

Nothing really wrong with the Scott catalogue for Australian states. There's information there that's not in the SG catalogue.

So the sheet size could make it difficult to get a single watermark on the stamp
two partials on either of the sides of the stamps
Would be the best explanation?

Really, It should be "West Australian....."
Our State is a dedicated discipline in Philately.

Now, the most interesting thing on this stamp, is the Postmark.
Personally, I had never seen it before !

Always something new on SCF.

Bravo!
well done you, 6 brownie points.

For the record, there could be another Location BREMER BAY
(from the west Australian Study Group)

Had yours had 13 bars, that would have been my Home Town !
How cool would that have been?

I'd suggest your stamp is
Group 4
Watermark V Cr sideways then Upright
Colour : Reddish Pink
Plate : Melb 120 , two of, usable together
Perforator: 12.5 x 12 Line 11
First date: Wmk sideways circa May 1903, wmk Upright Late 1904
Officials : PWD, WA and OS

Scott #76

check your perforation guage, not 12.5 x 11 =$600
