Three On Stamps.3!

On May 1, 1977 Singapore issued a set of 3 Labor Day stamps. Designer W. Lee used a collage technique for the stamps' artwork. The 10c value (SG #302), shown here, depicts three workers engaged in harbor improvement work.

This 68c (domestic rate) stamp of Ireland depicting rescuers hanging on a rock face with a litter was issued on June 4, 2015 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Mountain Rescue Ireland (first responders).

From mountainrescue.ie, "Any request for emergency assistance in the upland and mountainous areas on the island of Ireland is met by a volunteer response from one of 11 mountain rescue teams that compose Mountain Rescue Ireland (M.R.I.)."

Here is the 10c value (SG #966) from New Zealand's October 6, 1971 Christmas set of three. While the other two values of the set show traditional Christmas designs (Renaissance painting and stained glass window, both by a different designer), designer Enid Hunter used a modern, stylized approach in rendering "The Three Kings".

Here is the domestic letter rate 20c value (SG #692) from Singapore's July 1, 1992 set of three stamps commemorating the 25th anniversary off the country's military services. Stamp depicts an infantryman, an Air Force pilot and a navy gunner.

On June 16, 1987 the United Kingdom issued a four-stamp set commemorating the centenary of St. John Ambulance Brigade. The stamps depict historical illustrations of the Brigade in action. The 18 p value (SG #1359), shown here, depicts Brigade members with an Ashford litter in 1887.
