On February 28, 1981 Finland issued this 1.10 markka stamp (Facit #880) to publicize the European Boxing Championships.

Here are some pairs of trios from France.
First up are the 1989 Europa issues, both showing three children at play. Then, from 1987, are two triads from WAY back in French history.

jleb, love those French stamps especially the two bottom ones.
On the two children's play stamps, are the Yvert and Tellier nubers correct? They both have the same number?

Here are the three Graces, a sampling of just three characters from the larger, more populated painting Primavera by Botticelli:

First on a 1940 US stamp (Sc. 895) which commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Pan American Union.
Second on a 2010 French issue (Sc. 3779 and Yvert A509).

A number of other artists have interpreted the three Graces as well, which versions have been on a few more nations' stamps....

In 2016, Ireland celebrated the centenary of the Easter Uprising with a definitive series that included eight self-adhesive stamps, a souvenir sheet of 16 different designs (water soluble gum) and 16 computer-vended stamps of the same design as those in the souvenir sheet. All of these stamps use actual period photographs as the basis of design.

Here are the three computer-vended stamps showing three persons. The first two depict participant patriots. The third shows two patriots being taken prisoner.

Here is the BRD's/West Germany's September 17, 1952 set of 2 semi-postal "Youth Charity" stamps (Mi #s 153-4). Three boys are on the 10 pf value, and three girls are on the 20 pf stamp.

And, here is another one from the Federal Republic of Germany. This May 13, 1976 stamp (Mi #894) commemorates the 150th anniversary of the death of composer Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826). In this case, the stamp depicts three cropped and edited views of the composer taken from British printmaker J. Heyter's (1800-1895) lithograph of von Weber conducting in Covent Garden, London in 1826.

From metmuseum.org, "Von Weber came to London in the last year of his life to produce his opera Oberon. All of the great musical stars were drawn to Covent Garden by the taste and brilliance of English musical patronage."

"Voskhod I" (1964) was the first spaceflight with more than one crewman. These stamps from Bulgaria show the crew : V.Komarov (who was the first human to die in a spaceflight,three years later),K.Feoktistov and B.Yegorov

This 10 fr overprinted stamp of Belgium was issued for use in the post-WWI occupied territory of Eupen on the Belgium-Germany border. It is the high value of a set of 17, 1920-1 definitives. The stamp depicts the first three kings of Belgium, Leopold I (1790-1865), Albert I (1875-1934) and Leopold II (1835-1909).

Leopold I was German (Coburg) by birth and was the first King of Belgium (1831) after turning down the throne of Greece. Leopold II was the second King of Belgium, reigning from 1865-1909. He is best known as the personal owner and absolute ruler of the Congo Free State, using his mercenaries to maim and kill millions of Congolese people. Albert I was the third King of Belgium, succeeding his uncle Leopold II. He instituted many reforms in the Belgian Congo, the country's only colonial possession.
