I got this letter in the mail today addressed to my ebay address info -- just a slip of paper. here's the ebay auction that sold for a whopping $0.11 shipped https://www.ebay.com/itm/265076932842 basically an envelope's worth of easter seals, etc.

I contacted the buyer and here's his response:

Quote:
Geoffrey, I mail those stamps to an old guy in a nursing home. That note you received was from Mike. That is his THANK YOU!

Please smile knowing you made his day! Mike LOVES his stamps of all kinds, even damaged, broken up ones! You ever have unsellable junk, and can spare a stamp, feel free to mail him some in an envelope!

Thank you for playing my game! Mike is actually a "slow" man who has to live in a home, but obviously can write a bit. He has no one to care for him otherwise. I have no real idea what he does with these stamps, but all my family who knows him says he enjoys them. So be it! I figure the least I can do. Make someone's life better!

Not sharing his personal info, but this had me emotional. Collectors are everywhere.
