Stamps International Hoard Lots

I'm wondering if anyone has ever purchased a U.S. or foreign hoard lot from Stamps International? I'm interested in picking up something for sorting in the next month or so and I haven't been impressed with the pickings on ebay recently.

I'm also very open to suggestions for other possible sources of lots.

An alternative would be to cut out the middle man and look at some of the box lots in your price range at auctions. I don't buy these anymore, as my interests have narrowed a bit, but you'll get lots to sort, although the quality will vary.

Advice can only be given depending on the amount of money we are talking about . Are you looking to spend $25.00 ,$100.00 or a thousand dollars . What are you planning on, putting stamps in your albums ,reselling the stamps into smaller lots, looking for gems ?

While I would normally consider myself more of a bottom-feeder, in this case I'm in the $200-400 range for this purchase.

In that price range you could have had a lot of fun at a Rasdale auction pre-COVID. Not so much now. Still, it is probable that Stamps International buys it's material at a Rasdale or Kelleher or Dutch Country or.....auction and makes up lots. You know that the material has been pretty thoroughly looked through since the lots are "built to order" based upon how much money you want to spend. SI knows what they are giving you and it won't be the cheapest I would guess.

Your call and money though and the entertainment factor is what matters.

You can still find lots at Dutch Country in that range .

Vance often has lots of those types and price range, think they just had a sale though.
