Hello Fellows, is there anything special about this cancellation? I guess I don't recognize it. It came in a lot of early German occupation stamps. Thanks! Wolf-==-  |

The cancel is Tien-Tsin from one of the German offices in China,but the cancel looks forged to me. |

stampwolf, the wrong stamp was used for this fake cancel. The bottom inscription should read "REICHSPOST", not "DEUTSCHES REICH". |

I see what looks like a second cancel under the heavier one. Did someone apply a fake cancel over a genuine one or could the lighter one be a different fake?

Running off on a related tangent ...
I am looking at the single "a" just after the word "POST" ...
Bookbndrbob's "a" is closer to the rim than the "a" in the tracing.

The forged cancel is not noted in the Friedemann book, so may date from later than the mid-1960s. Of course, we know forgers are still at it. |
