The bidding in the morning for Canada was very active - some very nice mint, many not hinged, classics up for auction, some of them went full Unitrade CV or above. There were a few relative bargains to be had on group lots, but the individual items were all fully priced, some went for silly prices IMHO.
Be interesting to see what the Commonwealth and WW lots - again mostly mint - go for tomorrow. Everything in this sale is from one very fine collection. |

Yes, even factoring in the exchange rate the US is doing very well. Specifically stamps with PF certificates. I always preach that certs help when selling and this demonstrates it IMO. |

I was the one over paid for the C14 and C15 in this auction, I've been outbid in New York and Chicago too many times and wasn't going to let these lots get away from me. I consoled myself by saying at least it's in CDN dollars! |

The one US lot I wanted actually went for less than I had planned on bidding and 2 lots before it went up a client called and I ended up missing the lot.... |

stallzer, I would just assume that the winner bidder was going to outbid you anyway. Nothing you could do. Does that help? |

Wasn't that big of a deal. I was just 2 1˘ Franklin 1851 stamps that are pretty common. The other lots I did want blew past my budget real fast. |

Just ended, bidding was again very active for the Commonwealth/WW collection lots today. Some highly motivated buyers, and I didn't pick anything else up, beyond the few lots of Canada/NS I won yesterday.
Towards the end, Sparks announced the proceeds for this one owner collection sale exceeded $950K. |
