Hello!
Can anyone recognize this mark?
The stamp is brazilian (1850), but the mark it seems to be in english.
I see an "m" in the end of first word, and the shape let us think that theres only one or two more letters.
Thank you for any help!

Perhaps the folks at the Brazil Philatelic Society have an answer?

I can't identify the marking, but it is in the style of transit markings used on Trans-Atlantic mail via the US or England.

wtcrowe; good clue...It could be the brazilian letter transited through either the US or GB towards it's final destination.

What a wonderful discovery ...
So the letter left Brazil to France, from there it went to England, from where it left for the USA by an American ship ...
Thank you all for your help!
My best regards...
