This Person Downloaded Images From Stampsmarter And Is Selling Them

Since I built the Roosevelt Album section in Stamp Smarter, I recognized these as my images.

At least he isn't trying to sell them as real stamps...

edit: I just checked his sold listings and he's sold a couple dozen of these.

Well that sure seems like IP theft.

They have sold 29 of them since 15 March.

I notice the copyright logo (a little outdated) at the bottom of the Stamp Smarter home page. I'm not a copyright lawyer, but you could have some fun and write a letter or email to the seller that they are in violation of the copyright and you will be forwarding to your lawyer and to all those that purchased the images that they are also in violation.

The sale is gone, it had to be somebody reading the forum?

I sent the seller an email asking if the images came from Stamp Smarter. No reply but sale ended. Hope nobody minds my doing so. Outright theft to me.

The item in the OP is gone, but the other 14 Roosevelt listing are still there.

For example: 384060475902 about which this message was sent:

"Why are you claiming these are copies of your material when the images were take from the stampsmarter web page?

"The owner of the images should contact ebay and ask that all sales proceeds from you items already sold should revert to the image owner. Oh, and the image owner knows about your action and has posted about it on the internet.

"Take care and play fair."


Sadly if you check the ebay discussion boards, ebay is no longer taking quick action on copyright matters as they seemed to do pre-2016.

It would be fun to buy one and post feedback about the free site from which the images are being copied. Of course with a negative feedback. At a total of only 61 feedback score, the seller can't afford many such negatives.

All listings of the images from stamp smarter are now pulled down.
