Preekule straight line cancel. The town is actually Priekule in modern spelling. Used in the early days of Latvia's independence before the round CDS came into being. From Harry Von Hofmann's book on Latvian cancels.

Rod-Hope these help a little. They're taken from "The Postal and Monetary History of Latvia" by N. Jakimovs and V. Marcilger published in 1991.

Here are the 1922 general duty/documentary revenues. These are Barefoot #s 61-71, denominated in the new santims and lats currency.

Cinderella
1972 Girl Guides in exile.
Goppers Foundation.

I suspect that the answer lies in that catalog:
"Latvian non-postal exile stamps" by M. Zichmanis, 2nd edition 2006 (Boston, USA).

Taken from my Latvia collection are these four values of the 2nd overprint series of Soviet Union definitives - issued April 4, 1992 (Michel #335-338). The 25.00 rubles value is missing to make it a complete set.

They're not ordinary overprints though. What is different with these stamps?
