Excited, Only To Discover Reality Scott # 720

Going through one of my inherited collections I come across not one but two (2) Washington 3 cent vertical pair imperf. Scott #720. Or so I thought until I looked a little closer.


I noticed the perf marks. The holes never came out but they are there. The highs & lows of this amazing hobby. All in a matter of minutes.

But if you squint, that side is imperf, right? So squint.

Thanks PeterT. I did know that. I was hoping they were actual imperfs not blind perfs. Yet that is why I keep hunting. You just never know what is in that next box, bag, book, etc. Yet I always find it a thrilling chase just to get an unused stamp, a new block I haven't seen or own. Anything new and different. I guess its more of the discovery then possession of the stamp.

Seeing it and wondering how old it is and where has it been. Adventure.

That was exactly my thought DrewM. If I could only keep squinting.

At my age, I only have to remove my glasses and all the imperfections in my stamps magically disappear!
