Hello. Long time not been at Delcampe site. Used to sell there, but the amount of sold items was very low in comparation of sold on ebay. I like Paypal and dont like ebay changes. Anyone still selling on Delcampe? Any tips? Thanks in advance

Well, ebay is the juggernaut of online sales and its numbers will dwarf everyone else, in just about every area. That aside, while I don't sell on Delcampe, I see a lot of listings... I just got my address verified, so I expect to be buying on there very soon. |

I sell actively on Delcampe, and it's been a good experience. Plenty of sales, mostly to Europeans (which makes sense), but also to North Americans and folks globally. Top countries for buyers have been France, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, US - what you'd expect. The only thing I don't like is that the buyer doesn't pay right away, but you generate an invoice - and a few buyers can be slow to pay. On the flip side, it supports multiple payment methods. |

I sold something on Delcampe the other day, so it's not a total write-off. |

I have never been able to sell anything on Delcampe so I went back to ebay and Hipstamp. I occasionally buy something on Delcampe, but find the invoicing structure to be a bid of a pain when it comes to S&H. I won one lot and when the invoice came in, the S&H had more than tripled to what was stated in the listing for shipping to Canada. After fruitless communication between the Seller and Delcampe I just walked away from the purchase because it was a clear attempt at gouging by the Seller. A listing S&H of around 15 Euros was already high, but an invoice for S&H of 50 Euros was just unreasonable. I ended up with the same item from Amazon.de with an 11 Euro Shipping charge. So North American buyers be aware of that possibility. |

Sorry, I have never been able to get through the Delcampe's 63 page Terms and Conditions. Do folks read what they agreeing to or do they just enter into a legally binding contract without reading it? Don |

I read it. Not even that filled with legal mumbo-jumbo, compared to most T&Cs. |

I've been buying way too much stuff on Delcampe for the last two months, but not stamps (unless you count one postally used postcard from 1916). I discovered that Delcampe is amazing for collectible telephone cards. |

Quote: Under the laws of what nation? Good luck ever enforcing any transaction that's trans-national. It is called 'clickthrough agreements' (agreements used for software licensing, websites, and other electronic media. It requires the user to agree to terms and conditions before using a website or completing an installation or online purchase process". According to to a 2019 PactSafe published study, "there was a 626% increase in clickthrough litigation between 2002 and 2018". You can download this report online and learn more. The enforceability (and likelihood of successful litigation) of T&Cs varies between 'Click wrap', 'Sign in wrap', and 'Browser wrap' methods. Click wrap (requiring users to click on 'accept') and sign in wrap (also requires users affirm or confirm acceptance) are quite enforceable and are frequently upheld in court judgements. Browser wrap (only confirmation is that a user is agreeing by using the website) are less enforceable but there are court cases for them. I am unsure of the international law situation but folks can always break what they agree to and see if they have any recourse if a company comes after them. And for some there is an issue of morals; 'do I care about what I agree to and do I care about being as good as my word'. Don |

Is Delcampepay mandatory to receive money from selling there,or good old Paypal is still working on Delcampe? Is it possible to send money from Delcampe pay to Paypal? |

I've bought from several sellers on Delcampe who accept PayPal but not Delcampe Pay. |

Delcampe is promoting their Delcampe Pay (presumably because they take a cut of the processing fees), but I haven't seen many sellers actually supporting it. If they do, they also support PayPal. PayPal use is widespread, also common is bank transfer for European buyers/sellers.
Edit: Meant to add, I haven't had a single customer ask about it. |

I've only bought a single stamp on Delcampe (the elusive Syria 106c!), but it was a good transaction. The seller was in Europe, accepted PayPal, shipped promptly, no issues. |

I'm thinking to quit ebay selling because of managed payments and because of their ignorant, pathetic and amateur costumer support. Selling there from 2013. But know that the things will not go on Delcampe like on ebay. I sell interesting small random off paper lots. |
