The following information and comments pertain to the second edition (2004) of the Stanley Gibbons catalogue.

Printed in full colour, 108 pages, 9 x 11 overall.

This is my third SG, and have come to appreciate the approx 10 pages of introductory material "up front". Particularly like the "Technical Matters" discussion regarding printing, dies, paper, watermarks, gum, etc.

Volume includes Labuan, North Borneo and Sarawak, stamps overprinted for the British PO in Bangkok, Indian stamps used in the Straits Settlements, Thai stamps used in Northern Malaya, and various WW2 occupation issues.

As a long-time Scott user appreciate the additional information and listings which SG offers. Two examples: the FMS "tiger" issues and Malaysia "Federal Territory Issues" (starting February 1974).

Appreciate the colour reproduction, feel of the paper, and the fact the overall size allows the volume to "lie flat" on my desk facilitating easy referral.

A welcome addition to an expanding philatelic reference library.
