I am a worldwide collector in the USA. I have a specialty collection of colonial Africa. I collect used with new stamps held to fill spaces. I use the Scotts Classic and general catalogs and find they appear to not reflect the market for Spanish colonies. My opinion as that they are artificially low because of limited coverage of market. I find that ebay and a few other sources list any Spanish colonies at multiples of Scott prices. Are there any good sites to purchase Spanish colonies and/or evaluate current market prices?

Hello.
The emissions of the Spanish colonies are short and the prices are low because there is no interest in them.
The Edifil catalog is published in various formats, one of them contains, in addition to Spain, the colonies (including Cuba), the two Andorras and Equatorial Guinea (only those issued by FNMT Spain). This is the 2020 catalog index.
All stamps can be found at 1/3 of the catalog.
I have almost 300 duplicates from the Spanish colonies.
Regards.

My sources are currently limited to forums and ebay. I have no active auctions that I participate in and I have not been to my dealer show in over a year. The few listings I have found are far above Scott catalog. I only have a 1988 EDIFIL as a reference.

The only Spanish colony that I actively collect is Cuba and there are a number of dealers on Delcampe who offer a good selection.
