I bought two coils of 100 forever stamps online.

I counted out 200 envelopes as that was as many as I needed.

I put a stamp on each envelope.

Imagine my surprise when I still had one stamp left.

Figuring I missed an envelope I went back and checked each envelope to see if it had a stamp on it and they all did.

Then I counted them three times to make sure there were 200 of therm.

There were.

It turns out one of the coils had 101 stamps instead of 100.

I guess the forgers selling on line coils below face don't want a come back due to a short count.

What percentage of face did you pay?

Or, did you pay face value at the USPS on line store?

My first thought was also that they may be counterfeit, but IIRC I viewed an auction lot several years ago of a Flag Over Porch coil that had an extra stamp.

Can you post a scan of one of the stamps, preferably with a plate number?

Spent some time searching for a US "H Rate" stamp, without a date.
Was about to post on SCF
Took a scan, and immediately noticed, a tiny strip of paper had been
lifted off, (with the date) at the bottom of the stamp.

Probably removal of a strip of sellotape removed the tiny strip.
