Forum Donations Attempting To Renew.

Attempting to renew my supporter status with a donation,
Paypal is rejecting me, (I have plenty of sheckles in my account)

"We're sorry, your preferred funding method isn't available. Please choose a different one."

I refuse to give out Credit card details to them.
Maybe a glitch with paypal
I'll try again on the morrow.

Interesting. Experienced similar challenge about a week ago. When attempting to submit support donation .

Also, has anyone else observed recent issues re their posting tally or counter?

Maybe a note to staff will get a faster answer?

Possibly my bank, or my Paypal account.

For what it's worth, I bought a couple of things on ebay and Hipstamp this weekend and PayPal was finicky for me too.

Make sure your browser cache and cookies are cleaned out.

The only thing that might have changed on the SCF side is that the site is now upgraded from the old http to https since you first subscribed. I do not know if that is an issue or not for PayPal subscriptions; I think PayPal uses JSON requests and if this was pointing to the old http it might be an issue.
Probably the simplest thing to do is cancel the old subscription and setup a new one.

I just set up a subscription and it seemed to go thru via PayPal fine. So maybe a new subscription is the way to go.

It's not about subscriptions, Rod makes one time payments periodically. I think this is just a Paypal glitch.

My Bank:
after completing 8 security numbers, passwords, branch numbers
the recorded message is
"we are encountering a large number of calls, waiting period is 2 hours"

This is the bank I have been with for 50 years, I have substantial savings, that earn a measly 0.5% interest,
went overdrawn last year by $3.62 (by 12 hours) in my everyday account, and was fined $15

I have had a similar issue with an antique car forum that I support. The issue there was they no longer use PayPal and they are Canadian based. My credit card is no good outside the US (intentionally by the bank, who BTW pays 1.99%) so I have no means of sending them support money any more. I've also had another issue with HipStamp where site functionality is quite restricted due to my use of DuckDuckGO. It works fine as long as I use Google or Edge but then there is all that tracking.
