So I recently made the jump to start buying a couple stamps here and there
I made a bay buy and in it there was two listed as Yvert #21a/b
After receiving them I took a look and it llooks like it's not a 21/b
but a Scott's 34a (yvert #30a maybe?)

I hope you didn't pay much. You can pick up decent French starter collections pretty cheaply at auction.

I'm thinking the listed y&t #21a or as naufrago suggested y&t #28b
Unfortunately at this time I only have Scott's so I'm not 100% on the comparison with y&t (obviously y&t better detailed for France)
it's a die 1 (two split hairs below the R) from what I can tell, so I was thinking it was a Scott's #25 originally (only have a Scott's at this time :) but seeing that lists it as a die 2 if I'm reading right
it would have to be a Scott's #14 (with a private perf of sorts)?
Am I close trying to learn

For 10c unperforated there are two types:

10c perforated is YT#21 (1862)

The stamp on the right cannot be YT#21b because it is 30c and if you look closely you will notice the laurel wreath on the effigy of Napoleon III.
It is YT#30 (1867)

Thank you for the images (the type image is clearer then the ones I've found)and confirming about it not being a y&t #21b
Not really disappointed with it being a y&t #30
I did message the seller but not as a complaint (can't really fair enough price I think)
just to let them know a mistake had occurred
