The 1st pic shows the item in clear plastic with the info written on it. The 2nd pic shows different info regarding this item. Looking forward to info, couldn't find anything on imperforated steel Grey 24 cent.
The 24-cent stamp is not imperforate, it has had its perforations trimmed. Color-wise it certainly looks like a member of the #78 family rather than the #70 family. Can you see any evidence of a grill?

Yes, that is why it is sad to not have the return address present on this piece. The name could be a collector, or collector's family or even from a dealer, especially with the perfs cut off.
