My copy of Deutschland-Spezial lists five different printing plates: one for the first issue of this blue 3 Kreuzer (1849), the others for the 1850-62 issues. Michel provides photos illustrating their distinguishing features, along with a verbal description of each photo. My German is pretty good, but for the life of me I cannot match the verbal descriptions to the photos, nor understand exactly where to look in the latter. For example, the "Randlinien" constitute the key feature distinguishing the plates. But which "border lines" are meant? Here's a scan of the page. Can anyone help?

I have a similar problem with the 6 Kreuzer of 1850-62 (MiNr 4II; SC 5). Again photos are provided, together with text telling me that the three plates are distinguished by the corners of the "äussere Einfassungslinie." But again I can't tell which "Lines" are meant. See second scan below.
