Blackout Cancellations Worldwide

The Canadian blackout cancellations used at some cities during WW2 are well know. These are mainly machine cancels but there were some hand stamps used as well. A couple of different styles below



I have started looking at these cancellations and their usage. But I only collect Canada and I was wondering if similar cancellations were used anywhere else during WW2.

Any suggestions are most welcome

I was wondering if "Blackouts" was the accepted, or preferred description of such postmarks.
I have see some in my time, but cannot recall how they were described, perhaps "mute" cancels.
Anyone help me here?
