Shaw - Thank you my friend. It may come down to that. A very hard sheet to locate in really prime condition. The cv belies the difficulty of finding.

@rogdcam you can also try Hipstamp, probably already did but gotta throw it out there. They have some, I'm not sure if they are over priced or not. Good luck on your hunt.

Nothing on Hip alas. A lot of these Russian issues of the 40's and 50's are really hard to find especially in decent condition. There were 100,000 of 1083a produced but try finding a MNH example without condition issues. Many of them are going for well over Scott now when they can be found. I have looked for some $15 cv sets in the past for almost a year.

PS: Even Loral does not have a mint 1083a in stock.

Kinda figured @rogdcam. Worth a shot.

I " inherited" a bunch of Russian commemoratives from that era.

One item was a display folder with all mint condition stamps but hinged to the folder pages, blank pages. The other item was a mini stock book with a bunch of different commemoratives, partial sets, filling the book. It has remained intact while the folder has been disassembled, stamps falling out of it. I still have the folder with the stamps but much more stable setting.

I'll have to photo them and post them here, one of these days. If there is any interest. Some of them are stunning.

Thanks Rod. I bought the Stamps2go sheet. I have never been on Stamps2go before. Still the Wild West. In a couple of minutes I found a set of MNH Russia C40-4. Counterfeit that is. Perf 11.5.
